This Friday and Saturday (23-24) we have a special event at the Camp Centre when local pastors and leaders will come together for fellowship and when we will also be presenting the Amazing Journey. Please pray for God's blessing and that folks will be encouraged and challenged by all they will hear and see. Conversations are now at an advanced stage with regard to a new site for the church in Ite. We are still waiting on word as to when we can sign for the site and begin building. Please continue to pray with us that we will manage to get all this done as soon as possible. Please continue to remember Milagros in prayer. Although she is making steady progress there is still a long way to go before she will be ready for work again. We have postponed her farewell service until later in June so as to give us all more time to prepare for it. Unfortunately there has been more sadness in the village of Ite... a nineteen year old girl died yesterday. Please pray for the family and for opportunities to bring comfort through God's Word. In the radio, twelve schools have said they will take part in the first round of the radio competition. Pray for the meetings that will be held with the participating schools, that everything will be coordinated smoothly.
Students in my modern church history class were treated to a showing of the Spanish version of the film about William Carey ("A Candle in the Dark"). (23.5.8)

Andrew & Ruth Reid - Spain, Algeciras
An arts workshop will begin on the church premises running until Friday 23rd. This is specifically intended as an outreach to the community run by visiting Artists. We are especially encouraged that an adult education class attended by one of our church members will suspend its normal activities for the week and give credit to the women who attend the workshop instead. This is a great opportunity for women who otherwise would never cross the threshold to come into a nonthreatening environment and for prejudices to be broken down. (16.5.8) |

Amazing Journey - We were in three new schools and had a very good reception, pray that there will requests for Bibles, and that we will have further contact.
Euro 2008 football - Ballygomartin are hoping to show some of the matches on the big screen in the church hall as a means of outreach.
Connect - Thursday will be the last day for "Connect" until the autumn. Pray for good conversations over lunch and that we will be able to keep contact through some summer outings. Pray especially for those who have not yet come to faith in Christ as Saviour. (23.5.8)
